Operations Executive (LNG / MNC) (Ref: 00266)

Responsibilities:

  • Support the end-to-end execution of natural gas trading operations, ensuring smooth and timely delivery of physical trades.
  • Coordinate with traders, counterparties, shippers, terminals, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient scheduling of gas flows.
  • Strategise and schedule vessels jointly with LNG Charterer, Trading and Operations teams, and coordinate with internal teams to facilitate trading and operations of vessels.
  • Monitor daily operations, including nominations, allocations, balancing, and settlement of natural gas contracts.
  • Manage shipping and logistics documentation, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize LNG loading and/or unloading and ensure all necessary operational information is communicated effectively.
  • Track inventory movements and reconcile discrepancies across counterparties, pipelines, and storage facilities.
  • Prepare and verify invoices, supporting documents, and settlement statements in coordination with finance teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market regulations, operational requirements, and industry best practices for natural gas.
  • Support system improvements, process enhancements, and risk management initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Act as the key point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in LNG Shipping Operations experience with oil majors / trading house.
  • Any sea-going experience on tanker vessels is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and understanding of multi-commodity shipping operations.
  • Good knowledge in Time Charter Party.
  • Proficient with spreadsheets, databases and presentations.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Team player and able to work independently.
