HR Specialist (MNC / Central) (Ref: 00261)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end HR operational activities, including onboarding, offboarding, employment contracts, work passes, and employee records management.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in HR data entry, filing, and HRIS updates.
  • Administer HR policies, procedures, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Support expatriate management, including work pass applications, renewals, and relocation logistics.
  • Coordinate with payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate monthly payroll processing.
  • Handle benefits administration, including insurance enrolment, claims, and statutory contributions.
  • Support annual compensation and benefits cycles such as salary reviews, bonus processing, and benefits renewal exercises.
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and managers.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, training logistics, and HR communications.
  • Assist in grievance handling and disciplinary matters in line with company guidelines.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with Singapore employment legislation and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics (headcount, turnover, leave, and payroll data) for management review.
  • Support internal and external audits related to HR and payroll.
  • Participate in HR projects such as HRIS upgrades, policy reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend best practices to streamline HR operations in a high-volume, trading-focused business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of HR operations/HR generalist experience, preferably in a trading, commodities, or MNC environment.
  • Good knowledge of Singapore labour laws, HR policies, payroll practices, and work pass regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems; proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
