We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Senior) to support safe and reliable operations at a large-scale LNG terminal. This role is responsible for overseeing mechanical integrity, maintenance strategy, and engineering solutions for terminal assets, including static equipment, rotating machinery, and critical piping systems.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

     Provide technical and maintenance support to Operations and Project teams

     Develop and implement maintenance strategies, preventive and predictive programs, and mechanical procedures

     Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning, and replacement of mechanical equipment and piping systems

     Manage contractors and equipment vendors to ensure safe and reliable work execution

     Ensure compliance with regulations, codes, and industry best practices for mechanical systems (e.g., pumps, pressure vessels, valves, marine loading arms)

     Oversee statutory equipment inspections and maintenance in line with compliance standards

     Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and recommend corrective actions

     Maintain historical data on equipment performance, shutdowns, and production losses

     Lead mechanical aspects of minor projects, asset enhancements, and end-of-life equipment improvements through Management of Change (MOC) processes

     Liaise with external stakeholders, including government agencies, for mechanical system approvals or shutdowns

     Participate in RCA, RBI, HAZID, HAZOP, and model review studies

     Support emergency response activities as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

     Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; professional accreditation is an advantage

     Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance and reliability of plant equipment, rotating machinery, and static equipment in LNG, oil & gas, or petrochemical facilities

     Experience with compressors, pumps, pressure vessels, hydraulic components, and piping systems

     Knowledge of in-service pipeline inspections, API standards, vibration, and other mechanical analysis methods

     Familiarity with local codes, regulations, and equipment inspection requirements
