Production Engineer
Position Summary
The Production Engineer is responsible for developing, refining, and coordinating production engineering projects, policies, processes, methods, and procedures. This role focuses on enhancing operational performance, reducing waste and delays, and driving cost efficiency across the organization. The engineer will support production transfers and implement process improvements to ensure smooth and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Process Optimization

Apply expertise in manufacturing processes, tooling, production equipment, assembly methods, and quality standards to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Conduct time studies and analyze data across machines, assembly lines, and manual operations to identify areas for improvement.

Use statistical methods to determine root causes of failures, recommend corrective actions, and optimize product specifications.

Provide technical support and guidance on manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with best practices and standards.

Design and implement new manufacturing methods, supporting product development and enhancing production capabilities.

Communicate manufacturing capabilities, schedules, and updates to ensure smooth operations

Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes and engineering procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Apply continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Kaizen) to improve quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Design layouts of equipment and workspaces to maximize efficiency.

Establish and validate testing methods, product standards, and process requirements.

Collect and analyze data to prepare reports for decision-making

Create and implement policies, standards, and procedures for engineering activities.
Project Management
· Assess technology, resources, and market demand to evaluate project feasibility and ensure alignment with business goals.
Quality Assurance
· Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to review data, set standards, and define quality and reliability objectives for finished products.
Collaboration
· Work with vendors, staff, and management on purchases, specifications, capabilities, and project execution.
Training and Mentorship
· Train production staff on new and existing processes to maintain consistent and efficient operations.
Health & Safety
· Promote compliance with safety regulations and proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).

Minimum 3 years of experience in medical device manufacturin

Proven engineering management experience with strong cross-functional collaboration and process optimization skills

Proficiency in Lean, Kaizen, Kanban, and other advanced manufacturing methodologies

Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP
-
Skilled in SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills
-
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with experience working in multicultural environments.
