Senior Legal Manager, Real Estate (Ref: 00179)

Our client is a well established Commodities MNC in the APAC region. They are actively looking for a Senior Legal Manager (Real Estate) to join their Legal team.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee all legal matters related to property development and management, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, planning, construction, financing, leasing, asset management and regulatory compliance;
  • Draft, negotiate and review full range of contracts and legal documents, including investment and acquisition documentation, project financing, hotel management, development agreements, construction contracts, leases and service agreements.
  • Assist in due diligence processes, deal structuring, negotiation of transaction documentation for land acquisitions and investments.
  • Supporting in planning and zoning issues, ensuring compliance with local authorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide legal support in project structuring and risk management.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and coordinate outsourced legal work.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and advise the business on potential impacts.
  • Support dispute resolution, litigation processes and general advisory needs associated with a large-scale real estate portfolio
  • Work closely with internal teams including finance, planning, construction, and sales to ensure legal input is fully integrated into development strategies.
  • Coverage on other areas of Corporate and Commercial legal work related to other business verticals

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Law degree with at least 8 years of corporate and M&A experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department relating to real estate.
  • Direct deal experience performing due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, coordinating cross-functional deal teams and advising business stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of lease transactions, and property management
  • Strong communication and project management skills and ability to manage a diverse workload effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate ideas effectively to relevant stakeholders
  • Strong track record in real estate law
